My First Blog

The first words are always the hardest. I’m looking at an empty screen and I feel an immense pressure to fill it out. At the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter what I write, so I will just write what comes to mind.

I suppose I should explain the purpose of this website and how it came to be. For years, I had tried multiple times to create my own website, but I would get frustrated since I insisted on building everything from scratch. I think I've watched the beginner tutorials for HTML/CSS/JS about a dozen times. I always burned out and gave up on it. But then comes 2026 with Claude Code. It's a game changer...

I know just enough CS from my two semesters at college to know how things should be built. I think if I went back in time and studied CS, AI still would have evolved faster than me. Anyways, so I downloaded Claude Code and got to work. Well, the AI got to work and I watched in awe.

I quickly started building features then I realized what the end goal would be. I wanted to operate my website completely from my phone. The biggest requirements were being able to write blogs, update the feed, and able to edit/remove old posts. I kept adding more settings and now I can basically change everything on the website from my phone (except the layout).

So why a blog? I'm not really sure why I wanted one, and I have no idea what I will write about. I don't think there are any rules to blogging except the ones I give myself. I think my only rule will be NO AI since I used it for literally everything else.

I believe its important to do human thinking or else we will lose skills like writing or being creative. Truthfully, this is probably the most I have written in the last 2-3 years... There are only a few things that robots and AI can never replace. One of those is the joys of eating a full English breakfast.
